Buffalo Bill Museum & Grave traces the life of the West's most famous frontier scout and showman with historic photos, paintings, mementos, posters and artifacts from the Wild West Show. Panoramic view of Denver from the grave site. Admission.
Colorado Railroad Museum displays more than 50 narrow gauge cars and locomotives, as well as other railroading memorabilia, including a gigantic model railroad layout. Located on 12 acres, this is the state's largest collection of railroad cars and engines. Admission.
Coors Brewing Company offers free tours of the world's largest single-site brewery with free samples of a variety of Coors' products at the end of the tour. Founded in 1873 by Adolph Herman Joseph Coors, the brewery still uses natural Rocky Mountain spring water to make its beers. FREE.
Geology Museum, located in the Colorado School of Mines, is a very impressive mineral collection of specimens from around the world. FREE.
Heritage Square, a re-constructed Colorado town from the 1870s, this quaint Victorian street offers a variety of shops, restaurants, amusement park rides and a music hall. FREE admission to park.
Red Rocks Amphitheatre is one of the world's greatest outdoor concert venues. 70 million-year-old red rock cliffs have been transformed into an acoustically perfect amphitheatre seating 9,000. A summer concert series has featured all the top names in rock and country, from the Beatles to Bruce Springsteen. During the day, the park offers hiking trails, panoramic views of the rocks and a new visitor center with exhibits on the rock groups that have played here. FREE.
Dinosaur Ridge is where the first dinosaur skeletons were discovered. Today, there is a signed hiking trail, exhibits and a museum.
